BIO
Alan Balter was born in Chicago somewhere between the advent of manned flight and the invention of personal computers. Despite attending public schools in the city, he managed to convince teachers that he was literate, and earned degrees in Psychology and in Special Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana. Winner of RockWay Press' Annual International Writing Competition in 2004, Holden & Me  is Balter's first novel.
